Power battery offline test

Power battery offline test

As the core component of electric vehicle power, the power battery system has strict quality management on the production line. However, after the product is off the assembly line and before being delivered to the customer, it should undergo comprehensive product testing and safety testing in addition to the appearance and size requirements to simulate the best The ability of the product to cope in a bad situation. Only products that pass all the offline tests can be installed on the entire vehicle with confidence.

  1. The role of offline testing
Before the power battery system leaves the factory, the electrical components, switches, wiring harnesses and BMS of the entire system must be tested to prevent faulty products from reaching the client. At the same time, some special functions require special methods to trigger verification. Therefore, the offline test is a test before the product leaves the factory at the end of the production line. It includes functional tests such as mechanism assembly, electrical safety performance, BMS communication, whether the internal electrical component logic is normal, and whether the voltage and temperature between the batteries are normal.
  2. Analysis of requirements for offline testing and detection functions
The offline test mainly detects whether there are errors or missing installations and whether there are defective electrical products. Therefore, the offline test has two major functions: discover and solve problems; and give an objective evaluation of product quality.
According to the product design, electrical network topology and the actual application requirements of the product, the offline test system should have functional tests such as loop current and voltage testing, safety testing, performance testing, and module CAN diagnosis.

(1) Module offline detection.
In order to ensure that the Pack meets the safety and performance requirements, it must meet the safety, performance and size requirements at the module level to avoid rework due to module incoming problems. At the same time, the safety test parameters at the module level are higher than the Pack level. Test parameters, the purpose of which is to induce failure of potential risks.
(2) Pack offline detection.
In addition to the safety performance test, the pack-level offline detection items involve more functional tests, including but not limited to cell voltage, cell temperature, total voltage, total current, fault alarm, etc.

For the intelligent requirements of the power battery module Pack production line, many domestic module Pack manufacturers have realized the importance of intelligent production and have proposed a series of related solutions. As a module and Pack manufacturer, based on the automated production line, it combines current advanced equipment and technologies such as manufacturing executive system (MES) technology, production line visual control technology, intelligent industrial robots, and PROFINET 1 fieldbus. , To create an intelligent solution of “whole line equipment + robot + software control”, aiming to realize intelligent manufacturing from power battery to module pack.
